Meet Haris
Sometimes it’s in the darkest moments that you see the true character of an individual. Muhammad Haris never set out to be an interpreter for the US military or a counselor for the United Nations in Kabul. But he is a patriot and did what he could for the betterment of his country. As Afghanistan fell back into the hands of the Taliban, he moved his wife and children to Pakistan, but instead of joining them, he stayed in Afghanistan for several more months under the risk of considerable personal danger to support The Village Mission. He helped at-risk families and in turn, The Village Mission was able to reunite Haris with his family in Pakistan and relocate them to Turkey where they await SIV approval. Courage comes in all shapes and forms.
